The O'Grady Manuscripts belonged to Standish Hayes O'Grady (1832-1915), and for the most part contain transcripts or notes by O'Grady made from Irish manuscripts in London, Dublin, and elsewhere.

The archive includes letters and greetings cards, 1953-1972, and correspondence and papers, 1966-1972, deriving from the many groups and societies with which Olwen Caradoc Evans was associated, including the steering committee of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art and the Nant Conway Rural District Council. There are also family correspondence and papers, 1935-1945, and a file of personal correspondence, 1995-[1998]. There are also biographical and family papers, 1917-1941, research papers, 1904-1988, relating to the ancestry of Dr John Caeradoc Evans; research papers, 1846-1985, concerning the ancestry of Olwen Caradoc Evans herself; and press cuttings and photographs, 1967-1990. There are papers concerning 'Tu Hwnt i'r Bont', 1953-1959, notes relating to her research and business enterprises, 1960-1991, and printed material, 1952-1997.

Family papers, 1880-1990, of Lady Olwen Carey-Evans, comprising her correspondence, notebooks, scrapbooks, and other personal papers (including some papers of her son, Robin Carey-Evans), 1911-1990, and papers, press cuttings, memorabilia, diaries, notes, essays and other items relating to members of her family including Margaret Lloyd George, 1880-1941, Megan Lloyd George, 1928-1983, and Sir Thomas Carey Evans, 1901-1947; there is also a small group of papers, 1898-1970, relating to David Lloyd George.

Papers, c 1949-91, of Gladys Olwen Hedley (1912-98), librarian at Windsor Castle, 1952-64, Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and author of a number of works, particularly on Royal topics, including Queen Charlotte (London: John Murray, 1975). The papers include research material, correspondence and a large collection of published material

A further group of papers by and relating to G. Olwen Hedley were received from her sister, October 2009. This group remains uncatalogued.

Glebe terriers of the parish of Llanllwchaiarn, Montgomeryshire, 1665-1749; and deeds relating to properties in Cil-y-cwm, Carmarthenshire, 1709-1758.

The archive comprises almost entirely of title deeds relating to the Orielton estate in Pembrokeshire, and to a lesser extent in Angelsey and Caernarfonshire, 1466-1875.

Estate and family records of the family of Walsh (also Benn, Benn-Walsh), later barons Ormathwaite, of Radnorshire, including rentals and surveys, 1865-1939; deeds relating to premises purchased in Radnorshire, 1558-1912, and deeds relating to mortgages and sales of parts of the same estate, 1875-1947; estate papers, 1844-1943; family papers, [late 1690s]-1920, including diaries of Sir John Benn Walsh, 1st Baron Ormathwaite (1798-1881), politician, 1811-1877, diaries of his mother, Lady Margaret Walsh, 1788-1828, and diaries of Arthur John Walsh, 2nd Baron Ormathwaite, 1848-1917. -- The BRA deposit relates mainly to the marriage settlement, mortgages, bankruptcy, receivership and executorship of Arthur Henry John Walsh (1859-1937), 3rd Baron Ormathwaite, 1841-1951.

A further three boxes of papers relating to the family was received, together with a portrait of Jane Walsh and a collection of photographs. This deposit remains uncatalogued.

Papers, 1747-1948, of the Ottley family, including several pedigrees, one traced back to Arthur Ottley (c.1649-1705) of the island of St Christopher; two wash drawings, both panoramas of Antigua, apparently in the 1770s; miscellaneous family papers, 1747-1948, including a copy of proceedings in causes in the courts of common pleas and errors, island of St Vincent, 1768, probate records, records of the military careers of family members around the world, photographs and copies of portraits; and material of genealogical interest concerning the history of the Ottley and other related families.

Account books and ledgers, [1878]-1910, of Owen Owen, draper, of Liverpool and London, containing mainly receipts, disbursements, balance sheets and details of rents of properties in Montgomeryshire, Caernarvonshire, Liverpool and London.

Papers of the Owen family of Summerhill, Roch, Pembrokeshire, 1770-1986, including diaries of members of the family, 1887-1956, containing entries relating mainly to farming activities at Summerhill; title deeds and documents, 1843-1963, including probate copies of wills; correspondence, 1894-1963; memoirs of Elizabeth Myfanwy Robinson (née Owen, 1891-1978), sister of Ita Owen; family photographs; almanac with entries, 1770-1771; account books and school reports.

The manuscripts comprise mainly sermons and sermon notes by Owen Thomas and other preachers; together with poetry, correspondence, a diary, and other miscellaneous papers.

Files of notes, transcripts and indexes of various Welsh genealogical manuscripts, as part of Dr Bartrum's genealogical research. Also the manuscript to the first ten volumes of his 'Welsh genealogies 1400-1500 AD' (1983).

William Evans and a diary on cassette; letters, 1913-1938, from Phoebe Joyce Evans, in the form of diaries, to family and friends from Madagascar and to her from her husband; miscellaneous papers, [1906x1981], including notes and texts of talks given, accounts of visits to America in 1959 and 1971, extracts from diaries, letters and newspaper cuttings; together with autobiographical notes, c. 1900, by [?the Reverend William Evans].

Deeds and other documents mainly relating to families and estates in the St Davids area, Pembrokeshire, 1694-1896, including manuscript maps relating to the parishes of Llanrheithan and Mathri, Pembrokeshire, and Llanwinio, Carmarthenshire, 1812-1821. The families involved include Howells of Llysyfran, Ford of Stonehall, Owen of Orielton, James of Llandeloy and St Edrins, Parry of Porthiddy (Llanrian), Laugharne of Orlandon, and Mathias of Lochmeyler and Castle Cenlas. The Mathias family include Rev. John Matthias (d. 1805) of Lochmeyler, vicar of Llandeloy, who bought Castle Cenlas, c.1792.

Papers of John Davies, mainly ecclesiastical material and personal papers, 1846-1881, and papers acquired by him, including personal papers of Rev. D. B. Davies, Edward Morgan, 1868-1898, and Rev. John Morgan, 1894-1918; a notebook describing analysis of the chalybeate water at Aberystwyth, attributed to Richard Williams, an Aberystwyth surgeon, 1817; and a Cefncoedycymer policeman's patrol book, 1869-1870, including the exhumation of a body in connection with the defence of Dr William Price, charged with manslaughter.

Papers of the Pale estate belonging to Henry Beyer Robertson, 1879-1950, comprising correspondence on Council matters, especially the contract between Bala Urban District Council and Merionethshire County Council for the upkeep of the main roads, 1880-1948; pamphlets, diagrams and letters concerning the Pale hydro-electric plant, 1892-1936; and miscellaneous papers, 1885-1948, including items relating to the 1885 general election campaign in Merionethshire.
