A collection of carols on biblical and religious themes by Thomas Iefan, Dd. ap Gruffudd o Drewyn, Edmwnt Prys, Siôn Morys, 'Un o Lunden', and others un-named; 'dyrïe karwssio'; 'englynion i wragedd'; various 'englynion'; 'Owdwl y gath' by Robert Klidro; 'Araith Wgan'; 'Ymddiddan rhwng yr wttreswr a'r dylluan' by 'Thomas y darlleniwr'; 'cywyddau' by Edward ap Raff, 'O.G.', and others un-named; and a draft letter from his children to Ieuan ap Thomas Lloyd containing a reference 'to the new found land wch is called Ferginiae'.

A transcript of a collection of poetical meditations, prayers, psalms, and 'cywyddau', composed by Humphrey David ab Evan, sexton of Llanbryn-Mair, about 1637 to 1644; with a few 'cywyddau' by Siôn Phylip, William Phylip, and Doctor Siôn Kent, and 'englynion' by William Cynwal and Hugh Machno. The statement in David Williams: Cofiant Cynddelw, p. 684, that the greater part of the volume is in the author's own hand is incorrect.

A manuscript, written in the same hand as Llanstephan MSS 123-125, containing poetry, the poets cited including Taliesin, Iolo Goch, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Lewis Glyn Cothi and Siôn Phylip. The first half of the cywydd at p. 35 is missing. The poems at pp. 37, 40, 43 were copied from imperfect originals and are full of lacunae. That which appears at p. 292 is apparently not the beginning of the poem as there is a page left blank between this and the previous poem. On pp. 633-646 is an index, with the poets' names arranged alphabetically, 'made by Richard Morris for Wm: Jones F.R.S. in London 1746.'

A manuscript written after 1643 (see p. 199) containing poetry, the poets cited including Iolo Goch, Ieuan Tew Brydydd, Wiliam Cynwal, Lewis Menai and Siôn and Rhisiart Phylip. An index, with the poets' names arranged alphabetically, has been added at pp. 641-651 by Richard Morris 'i Wm: Jones F.R.S. yn llundain 1746'.
The original or originals of this manuscript were apparently often defective as many lacunae and imperfect lines occur: the beginning of the poem at p. 139 is wanting and the rest is very imperfect; the beginning of the poem at p. 181 is wanting as that which is noted as the first line here is in fact the 8th or 10th line; 'A chanoes ac ychwaneg a ranno dvw ir wen dêg' is added in a later hand on p. 316; an addition in the margin at p. 435 ends the poem with 'do'n ifanc ai i nefoedd'.

A collection of 'cywyddau' attributed to Dafydd ap Gwilym (17), Dafydd Nanmor (2), Hugh Morys, Madog Benfras, Iolo Goch, and Rhys Cain; 'cerddi' by Ellis Roberts Cowper, and Lewis Morris ('Llywelyn Ddu') ('Llythur Cymun Morgan Goch y Melinydd', with an addition by William Jones, and 'Cerdd Marwnad Llewelyn bach o Gaer ludd'); 'englynion' by Merddyn Emrys and Huw Huws; and an English 'charol to be sung on Christmas morning' by Hugh Hughes, 'late of Foel near Llanerchymedd'.

An imperfect, composite volume (pp. 33-86, two imperfect, unnumbered leaves, pp. 93-146, with p. 72 blank) containing transcripts of Welsh strict-metre verse, mostly in the form of 'cywyddau', by Tudur Aled, William Phylip, Siôn Phylip, Siôn Dafydd Siencin, David ap Gwilim, Owen Gwynedd, William Lleyn, Evan Tew (1590), Ellis Rowland, Tomas Prys ('o Blas Iolyn'), Dafydd ddu ('o hiraddig'), Morys Thomas Howel, Siôn Tudur ('Swyddog Yn perthun i Esgobeth Llan Elwau'), Roger Cyffin, Gwerfil Mechain, Evan ap R. ap Llewellyn, Gutto'r Glyn, Gruffydd Owen, Edward Vrien, Edward ap Rhus, Rhys Cain, Ierwerth Fynglwyd, Rhees ap Ednyfed, Rhydderch ab Evan Llwyd ('Meisdr o ddysg'), Doctor John Cent, Sir David Trefor, Dafydd Evan ab Owen, Dafydd Nanmor, and Gryffydd Gryg. The greater part of the volume was probably transcribed by the Evan William whose name, in his own hand, appears on pp. 62, 83 (1775), and 121. 'Evan Williams, Gardener', referred to in the margin of p. 63 as the owner of the volume in 1779, is possibly the same person.

A small volume written in the eighteenth century lettered on the spine 'Llyvr Dos=parth a Cadwe= digaeth Cerdd Dannau, I'. The scribe was David Jones ('Dewi Fardd') of Trefriw. The contents are as follows: pp. 1-23, 'Clod Cerdd ai Dechreuad' beginning 'Fy Mryd sydd ar hyn om llafur ddwyn ar ddeall it Darllewr . . . Eithr o arfer Cerdd Theoricall y Nef, ni ymadroddwn am dano' [cf. B.M. Addit. MS 14989, ff. 82 recto-111 verso, and also D. Welsh poetry in the hand of Llywelyn Sion, Llangewydd. Also included are a few autograph letters to Llywarch Reynolds and an index to the contents of the volume.

Fragments of manuscripts found with MS 540B, possibly once part of Peniarth MS 326 (see D. Huws, 'A Welsh manuscript of Bede's De natura rerum', Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, XXVII, p. 492). They comprise a leaf from Gerard of Cremona's Latin translation of Aristotle, De Caelo et terra, XIII cent. (f. l); a leaf of the Middle English Dives and Pauper, XV cent. (see NLWJ, xxii, p. 347) (f. 2); a fragment of a petition in Chancery of [ ] of 'Kellilyfday' [Gellilyfdy] concerning a book borrowed in 1643 by Thomas Jones of Kirchynan [Flintshire] and not returned, the petitioner no doubt being John Jones, Gellilyfdy (f. 3); a flyleaf of a book with Latin tags, an englyn and the name Richard Mores, XVII cent. (f. 4); a bon mot of Dr John Wilkins, Bishop of Chester, XVIII cent. (f. 5); a theological treatise entitled Circa generaliores regulas moralis Christianae sententiae aliquot quibus passim se opponit Schola Theologica Louanensis, XVII cent. (ff. 6-11); and an inventory of the goods of Thomas Wilkins, papermaker, of the parish of West Drayton, Middlesex, 1729, including the stock of a paper-mill (f. 12).

Forty-four loose leaves (many imperfect and stained) and a fragment containing miscellaneous material in a number of ?late sixteenth and seventeenth century hands. The contents include notes in English and Welsh on palmistry; transcripts, largely incomplete, of Welsh poems in strict and free metres by ? Owen Jones, Griff. ap Dd. Fychan, ? Willi[am] ffylyp, Dd. Llwyd ?Lln. ap Owain, Robin Ddu o Fôn, David Lloyd ap Lln. ap Griffith, Thomas Price, Owen Gwynedd, Wiliam Llyn, Sowdwal, Siôn Keri, Siôn Tudur, Tomas Brydydd, Doctor Siôn Kent, Siôn ap Howel, Gruffudd Hiraethoc, Rys Kain, and Edw[a]rt Maelor; transcripts of two 'englynion', one in English and one in Latin; etc. The inscription 'Hwn o Lyfr Meyryg Dafydd, July 1821' (in the hand of Edward Williams) appears in the volume.

A slightly imperfect manuscript consisting mainly of transcripts of Welsh strict- and free-metre poems including poems by, or attributed to, Tal Iesin, [Rhys Prichard, 'Yr Hen Ficer'], Sir Rice ab Richard, John Tydyr, Dauydd Llwyd, Morgan ap Howel, Llywelyn Siôn, Thomas Llywelyn, Ioroeth Fynglwyd, Sieiles ap Siôn a Gwas yr henaynt, Ffylib Emlun, Dafydd Nawmor, Siôn Phelib, Morys ap Howel, Lewys Morganw[g], Llewelyn ap Howell, Robert Leia, Siôn Kent, Gryffydd Llwyd ab Einon Lygwy, Rys ap Hari, Iolo Goch, Dafudd Ddu 'o Euas', Lewys Glyn Kothi, Gwillim ap Ieuan, Ievan Glyn Cothi, Iefan ap Rydderch ap Iefan Llwyd, Dauydd ap Mredydd Tudyr, Thomas Gryffudd, ? Thomas Llewelyn Dd. ap Hyw[e]l 'o Flaengwrach', Thomas Jones, Hopgin Thomas Phulib, Thomas ap Ieuan ap Rhys, and Siôn Lewys Gwyn. Also included are a transcript of the Welsh tale of the birth of Taliesin (ff. 1-4), a few medicinal recipes, and some seventeenth century financial memoranda. The greater part of the volume is written in a number of artificial or contrived copying hands, the scribe in some instances appearing to simulate a gothic script. The initial capitals of some of the poems have elaborate decorative detail sometimes incorporating the outlines of human figures or faces, the latter mostly grotesques. The volume has been attributed to a Glamorgan or Gwentian copyist of the first half of the seventeenth century (see TLLM, t. 44). If this dating is accepted stanzas such as those by Rhys Prichard probably have to be regarded as later insertions. There are marginal annotations in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg').
