Holograph poetry, largely in the form of 'englynion', by Owen Williams ('Owain Gwyrfai'), Waunfawr, co. Caernarvon. The volume is indexed. At the end are copies, in another hand, of verses entitled 'My Native Land' ('Fe gyfansoddwyd y gân hon gan Mr. Robert Jones gynt Tailor & Draper Caernarfon, yr hwn a ymfudodd ir America y flwyddyn 1839') and 'Mae Gwyrddlas Fryn' ('Cyfieithiad o There is a Green Hill Faraway'). Inset is a holograph letter from Thos William David Jones [sic], wheelwright, Llanrhaiadr, near Oswestry, [18]51 (a request for the words and tune of the 'A.B.C.').

Sior y trydydd. gan Owen Williams (Caernarfon, 1820), cuttings from newspapers and periodicals of items by Owen Williams in prose and verse, obituary notices and articles concerning him, and a few items in the hand of 'Myrddin Fardd' e.g. 'Achau Owen Williams Waunfawr [O'i lawysgrif ef ei hun].'

A volume in the hand of Owen Williams (Owain Gwyrfai, 1790-1874), Waun-fawr, Caernarvonshire, containing a list of contents of a pedigree manuscript of Owen Gruffydd, Llanystumdwy, and poetry by Lewis Morganwg from a manuscript in the writer's possession, both compiled in 1843 with a view to publication in Yr Haul; and transcripts, made during the period 1871-2, of poetry by Cadwaladr Cesail (transcribed at the request of John Jones, Bryn y Gro, Llanystumdwy), and Morys Dwyfech. In the case of the latter poet, some transcripts are in another hand and there are copious corrections by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The volume is labelled on the upper cover 'Owain Gwyrfai MS'.

A miscellaneous volume (496 pp.; original pagination incorrect) in the autograph of Owen Williams (Owain Gwyrfai, 1790-1874), c. 1841-67, of which the main contents are pedigrees of North Wales families transcribed from manuscripts of the Reverend D. Ellis [Cricieth] and Owen Gruffydd, Llanystumdwy and from other sources (with some additions to Owen Williams's own day); transcripts of twenty-four letters, 1752-7 and 1767, from Goronwy Owen to Richard Morris from a (?)manuscript of Mr Loyd [sic], Plasmeini, Festiniog and of eleven letters, 1752-4, from Goronwy Owen to William Morris ('D.S. Dyma lythyrau'r Gwiliedydd im tyb i. O.W.', but this seems doubtful), and extracts transcribed from the introduction to Lewis Morris's 'Celtic Remains' and from [John Reynolds, A Display of Herauldry (1739)] ('Yr hanesion canlynol a dynwyd o hen lyfr achau a argraffwyd o ddeutu amser Cromwel o waith Reinols'). There is a rough index at the beginning and end of the volume. J. H. Davies has written the following note in pencil on the fly-leaf: 'This is the Llyfr Coch which O[wen] W[illiams] always carried under his arm at Eisteddfodau & Literary meetings. It was originally bound in a red cover.'.
