Sermons in the hand of R. Elias (Meillionog).

Notes of sermons recorded by R. Elias (Meillionog) during the period 1896-1897, together with a few memoranda and financial accounts. The majority of the sermons were delivered by William Emlyn Jones, Congregational minister, Morriston.

Miscellaneous papers of R. Elias (Meillionog), including a resolution of tribute recorded by Tabernacle Sunday School, Morriston, on the occasion of his departure, 4 September, 1898; a lecture on 'Beirdd a Barddoniaeth Gymreig'; a dialogue ('dadl') entitled 'Gwragedd y Beibl'; sermon and scriptural notes; etc.

Papers, 1871-[1922x1927], of Richard Elias (Meillionog), comprising mainly autograph and holograph sermons and poetry, and also including material relating to a tribute by the Tabernacle Sunday School, Morriston, to Meillionog on the occasion of his departure for Cape Town in September 1898.

Mounted press cuttings of poetry in strict and free metres by R. Elias (Meillionog), together with marginal emendations and additions in the author's hand. Among the titles are 'Iaith fy Nghalon. Ar ol fy nwy Eneth, sef Morfudd Elias, yr hon a fu farw Ionawr y 25ain, 1876, yn 17 mis oed, a Mary Lizzie Elias, yr hon a fu farw Chwefror y 6ed, yr un flwyddyn, yn 2 flwydd a 9 mis oed'; 'Can o Glod i'r Parch. D. Davies, Gweinidog y Ddinas. Buddugol yn nghyfarfod cystadleuol y Ddinas, Tachwedd yr 11eg, 1871'; and 'Penillion o Glod i John Thomas, stonecutter, &c., Treforis. Buddugol yn Nghwmrhydyceirw, Ebrill 24, 1886'.

Holograph poems, largely in free metre, by R. Elias (Meillionog), with critical observations in the hand of 'H. T. F.'. Among the titles are 'Y Bwrdd Fynydd. Table Mountain'; 'Y Gwelliant (Cymdeithas fodolai yn Glandwr, Abertawe, o gylch 1850, i leihau yfed a phuro iaith ac ymadrodd yr aelodau)'; 'Llinellau ar Cadeiriad [sic] Miss Boyd Yn Cape Town. 1921'; 'Duchan Gerdd. Y Chwedleuwr. Eisteddfod Jo[hannes]burg Mai 1908'; 'Cadeiriad Bardd Buddugol Eisteddfod Cape Town 1922'; etc.
