Will of William Owen Brigstocke of Blaenpant, co. Card,

Devises his personal estate to his wife Maria subject to payments of £2,000 to Miss Frances Henrietta Mansel and £2,000 to his late brother John Brigstocke, his capital m. and lands at Blaenpant, all his m's and lands in cos Card. and Pemb. and in the liberty of Kidwelly (except the estate of Gellydywyll, p. Cenarth, already disposed of by deed of gift) to the use of his wife and after her decease to the use of his son W. O. Brigstocke and his heirs male, and the farm of Llechdyny, p. Kidwelly, to the use of his nephew Augustus Brigstocke and his heirs male, and annuities of £70 each to the five nieces of his brother, John Brigstocke. Copy.

Devises all his man's, m's, lands, etc., in cos Carm., Glam., Pemb., Card., co. bor. Carm., or elsewhere to his son Owen Brigstocke and his heirs, and to his wife Mary during her widowhood he devises a m. and lands called Blaenypant, p. Llandugwith, and charges all his property with a sum of £4,000 to be shared between the younger children.

Will of Owen Brigstocke of Blaenpant, p. Llandygwydd, co. Card., esq,

Devises all his lands in p. Kidwelly, his lands intermixed in Muddlescombe, and his properties in co. bor. Carmarthen to his trustees to sell in order to pay off mortgage charges of £5,000 and to raise £1,000 for his younger children, and devises all his properties in cos Card., Carm., and Pemb. to his wife Anne and after her decease to his son and heir, William Brigstocke. Other bequests specified. Recites his marriage settlement, 23 April 1763, and charges a term of years in the settlement with a further sum of £2,000 to be added to a sum of £3,000 to be given among his younger children.

Devises the picture of Mrs Hamilton and furniture, etc., at Blaenpant to her nephew William Owen Brigstocke of Parkygorse, a legacy of £200 to her maid Barbara Ironside, legacies of £50 to her nieces Mrs Charlotte Dundas and Mrs Nina K. Webley Parry, a legacy of £500 and her farming stock, etc., to her nephew Francis W. Kewley, and a legacy of £500 and household furniture, etc., to her niece C. M. C. S. Webley Tyler. Copy.

Will of Mary Roberts [née Brigstocke], wife of John Roberts of bor. Kidwelly, co. Carm., alderman,

Devises a decayed old house called Place pen y bont, closes of land called Garth vawr and Tewy, a wear [sic] above Kidwelly Bridge adjoining the old house, and a m. formerly called Tythin Kilvith and now called Park Gwynne, p. Kidwelly, to her third son Francis Roberts, and if he should die before attaining the age of 21 years, to her other sons Lewis, George, James, and Griffith. Llanllwchaiarn to her sister Sarah Elizabeth Rees, her leasehold m. called Blodfa, p. Llanllwchaiarn, to her servant maid Ellen Jones, and a sum of £1,100 in trust for her other nephew and nieces.

Devises a capital m. called Alltcinadda and another m. to his son George (subject to yearly payments to his son James and his dau's Anne and Dorothy), and also m's called Park y Sais and Park y Barret, and a parcel of town land called Close yr hendy, which are leasehold, all in p. Kidwelly; devises to his son Lewis a m. and lands called Cwm ffynondy in p's Kidwelly and Llandeveylogg, and also a leasehold m. called Sythin Kilvith, p. Kidwelly; devises to his son Griffith a m. and lands called Pen Kidwell consisting of a m. and land called Park John Kuto, a m. formerly a barn, a m. called Pelican, a small m. called Groft y groes, several parcels of land (names given), and his right title in a water course running over Arlis common to Penkidwely, all in t. Kidwelly; devises to his youngest son James 2 m's called Glanmorlais and Tir ar glan Gwendraeth, p. Llandeveylog, and leasehold properties called Coed y Brenin, Tir Tho' David Nicholas, and Maesgwenllian, p's Kidwelly and Llandeveylog; gives his eldest son William Roberts an annuity of £20 out of his properties in p. Llanegwad on condition that he quits his right title in the aforementioned properties; devises his estate in Llanegwad to his son James subject to an annuity of £5 to his daughter Dorothy; devises to his daughter Dorothy a m. in Causay Street, t. Kidwelly; devises to his sons George and James his dwelling house, with lands called The Groft and Cow Parks, p. Kidwelly, until their deaths or marriages, with the inheritance to his son Lewis.
