A volume compiled in 1881 by or for Colonel Thomas Lewis Hampton-Lewis, comprising a list of deeds and documents, 1567-1878, with copies and abstracts, relating to the Henllys estate in the counties of Anglesey, Caernarfon, Denbigh and Gloucester (ff. 3-176) (cf. UCNW Bangor, Catalogue of Henllys Papers); and copies of memorial inscriptions and extracts from parish registers and other sources, 1460-1885, relating to the Hamptons and their ancestors (ff. 177-88 verso). Related items, 1880-1904, tipped into the volume, include two letters, 1880, concerning the granting of a faculty to erect a mausoleum for the Hampton family in Llan-faes churchyard (f. 189).
