Sermons preached at Cerrigydrudion, 1721, Llanycil, 1726-1734, and Llanrhaiadr-ym-Mochnant, 1736-1745, probably by Peter Powell, canon of St. Asaph, rector of Llanycil, 1725-1735, and of Llanrhaiadr, 1735-1747. At a later date, 1749-1763, they were delivered at Llanymynech.

Included are items concerning Horeb Baptist chapel, Penrhyn-coch, Madog Calvinistic Methodist chapel, and St John's church, Penrhyn-coch; Penrhyn-coch school; the Pryse family of Gogerddan; inhabitants of the area who served in the First and Second World Wars; and various cultural and other activities in the village.

A volume entitled The Collected Poems of B. J. Morse, typescript, 'issued privately at Trieste in 1926 by M. Belohoubek Zum Sande' who also provided ink drawings and, probably, the binding. The poems are the youthful work of Benjamin Joseph Morse (1899-1977), scholar and translator. This copy, 'the only one in this form', was made for 'Siarl Davis, M.A.' (f. 44v) [i.e. Charles Davies (1901-1953), author and lecturer].
