Exhibition catalogues for exhibitions featuring works by Alfred Janes, comprising two catalogues for ‘Alfred Janes: A Retrospective’ (Attic Gallery, Swansea), 1995, one with loose photo prints, and press cuttings re the same exhibition, 1995; ‘Alfred Janes Retrospective’ (Welsh Arts Council), 1974, and posters for the same exhibition, 1973; ‘Towards a Concrete Art’ (The Architectural Association, London), 1967; ‘Metamorphosis: Figure into Abstract’ (Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry), 1966, together with a note from Mervyn Levy; and ‘Two Artists of West Wales’ (Arts Council of Great Britain Welsh Committee), 1962; together with an address list for ‘Twelve Artists’ exhibition (Greenwich Theatre Gallery, London) 1981; draft list of works and valuations, 1974 & 1976;a letter from P. D. James, Cheltenham & Gloucester, re their collection of Janes paintings, 1991; a copy of ‘Glynn Vivian Gallery News’, 1987; and a copy of the form for ‘The Dylan Thomas School’, University of Wales, Aberystwyth, which featured Janes’s portrait of Dylan Thomas, 1992.
