The Caernarfonshire estate in Caerhun belonged to Robert Hughes of Gwydir and Cae'rberllan until his death in 1740, when his lands were inherited by his brother, John. The latter's daughter, Jane, married John Griffith (3) of Garn in 1762. The accounts are dated a few days prior to the death of Robert Hughes.
