An appeal, 1836, for subscriptions to establish a scholarship or exhibition at Oxford for the benefit of the sons of freeholders of Merionethshire and of natives of the county, one of whose parents shall also be a native of the county, and to be known as the Vaughan Scholarship or Exhibition, after Sir Robert Williams Vaughan, bart, M.P. (d. 1859); there is also a list of some of the subscribers.

Tables of purchasers and prices realised in the Llanfawr estate auction are included on ff. 69 verso-78. A rough sketch plan of Ty Eiddaw [i.e. Ty Eiddew] farm, Llanfaglan, is on ff. 89 verso-90.
