Records of the Slebech estate, Pembrokeshire, mainly title deeds, [late 13 cent.]-1926, including deeds relating to the Knights Hospitallers of the Commandery of Slebech, mainly 14th cent., ministers accounts, 1357-1605, of the Pembrokeshire estates of the Mortimers, earls of March; manorial records, 1292-1819; letter books, letters, accounts, etc., relating to Nathaniel Phillips's Jamaican sugar plantations, 1759-[c. 1822]; and family papers of the Barlow and de Rutzen families of Slebech and the Phillips family of Lampeter Verfry and Slebech, 1542-[c. 1919].

Papers of R. H. G. Smallwood, together with deeds and documents collected by him, 1317-1943, mainly relating to the Wrexham area and mainly 17th-19th cent., comprising deeds and other papers, 1317-1890, concerning various families and properties in Wales, England and Jamaica; Smallwood's notebooks, files, indexes, etc., on genealogy, especially of the Smallwood family, and local history, freemasonry, numismatics and archaeology; material relating to shorthand, including volumes written in shorthand, [17th cent.]-[18th cent.], catalogues, letters, and material relating to Welsh, American, German, Austrian, Italian, French and English shorthand systems; and various letters, bills, receipts and memoranda [late 18th cent.]-[early 19th cent.).

Manuscripts, mainly [19 cent., second ½]-1933, of the work of Welsh composers, mostly autograph, comprising holographs, copies and drafts of scores and sets of orchestral parts and also lyrics, including works by John Thomas (Pencerdd Gwalia), Dr Joseph Parry, David Jenkins, W. T. David and others. The collection also includes part of a Mass and a Te Deum by Giovanni Bononcini, 1747.

The records include catalogues of Welsh and English song titles with details of publishers, 1930s-1960s, and correspondence, 1957-61, with Messrs Lowe and Brydone (Printers) Ltd, concerning the printing of sheet music.

Papers of the Reverend Hugh Jones ('Cromwell o Went'), including letters, 1825-1871, mainly addressed to him and relating to preaching engagements and church affairs during his ministry at Tredegar and Carmarthen; drafts of letters, articles and sermons [1825x1872]; diaries, 1833-1853; and miscellaneous material, [1809x1872].

Records of the South Glamorgan Labour Party, 1983-1995, comprising administrative papers, 1988-1995, including correspondence, minutes, agenda, details of conferences, newsletters and reports; treasurer's papers, 1993-1995; correspondence, 1992-1995, with the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff Constituency Labour Parties; letters, circulars and details of meetings and events; and miscellaneous correspondence; papers relating to elections in South Glamorgan, 1983-1993; and miscellaneous papers, 1991-1995.

The fonds comprises minutes, 1892-1962, of meetings of the committees of the South Wales and Monmouthshire Football Association, together with match programmes and newspaper cuttings. There is also a separate account book, 1892-1894. Further printed material dated 1983-7.

Papers 1984-5, mainly relating to the involvement of Welsh women in the Miners' Strike of those years and its aftermath and in particular to the activities of the South Wales Women's Support Groups. They comprise papers relating to the South Wales Women's Support Group with letters from the secretary, Kath Jones, and associated leaflets, handbills and posters, with papers relating to the Swansea, Neath and Dulais Valley Support Group, the National Organisation of Women Against Pit Closures, the Wales Congress in Support of Mining Communities, and Greenham Common women.

Papers of the South Wales Women's Temperance Union, including correspondence, 1911-1965; minute books and accounts of meetings, 1931-1957; account books, 1916-1966; printed material, 1948-1957; hymn sheets, 1839-1966; and posters, 1932-1957.

This collection comprises poetry by Robert Southey and correspondence between him and his friend and patron Charles Watkin Williams Wynn, son of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, 4th bart, of Wynnstay, Denbighshire, also letters to Charles's brother, Sir Henry Watkin Williams Wynn. There are 540 letters from Southey to Charles, 364 from Charles to Southey and 759 from Charles to Henry (see also NLW MSS 2789-2806).

This collection comprises facsimiles made at the National Library of Wales in 1926 of four manuscript volumes belonging to the see of St Asaph. They include transcripts from Llyfr Coch Asaph; an entry book exhibited at the visitation of Thomas Davies, bishop of St Asaph, 1561; a court book of the manor of Llanelwy, 1475-1489.

Two addtional boxes of faculties relating to parishes within the St Asaph Diocese were deposited February 2006.

Further records, including correspondence, sermons and papers relating to conferences, were received in April 2016; a watercolour painting of St Davids Cathedral (1791), has been transferred to the NLW visual collection.

Additional records, 2008-2016, among them visitations, correspondence and material pertaining to events, together with papers and photographs relating to the Cathedral, 1994-2008, were received in September 2016.
