Literary manuscripts of David Jones, with manuscript drafts of In Parenthesis: Seinnyessit e gledyf ym penn mameu; The Anathemata: Fragments of an attempted writing; Epoch and Artist: Selected writings by David Jones; The Sleeping Lord and other fragments; The Dying Gaul and other writings, and The Roman Quarry and other sequences. There is a substantial body of letters to David Jones from friends, editors and others, 1910-1976; draft letters from David Jones to friends, newspaper editors and others, 1929-1982; and letters by David Jones, 1919-1985, published in Dai Greatcoat: A self-portrait of David Jones in his letters. There are some examples of David Jones' art, and material relating to David Jones as an artist, as well as personal documents, financial papers, family papers, photographs, and accumulated research material.

Manuscript oratorios, operas, orchestral pieces, choruses, melodies and other musical compositions (including the four Welsh Airs arranged for choir and full orchestra premiered at the Crystal Palace, 1896); an autographed notebook containing solfa versions of Welsh melodies arranged for male voices, 1915; correspondence, 1934-1935, relating to the proposed publication of a memorial volume to Jenkins by nine of his contemporaries ('Er Cof am yr Athro David Jenkins Gan Naw o'i Gyfoedion'); music exercise books, 1877-1881, and a volume containing blacksmith's accounts, Trecastell, and particulars of payments to preachers, 1796-1810.

There is also a notebook containing minutes and other records of the Sunday school of Tabernacl C.M. church Aberdyfi, 1892-1893, and a notebook containing brief details relating to the Aberdyfi Burial Board, 1909.

Records of Messrs David and David, comprising records of valuations of properties in South Wales and the adjoining counties of England made during the period 1846-1933, including Breconshire, 1872-1912; Carmarthenshire, 1865-1884; Glamorgan, 1846-1926; Monmouthshire, 1867-1933; Gloucestershire, 1875-1880; Herefordshire, 1874-1881; and Somerset, 1876-1885. The records include surveys, reports, valuations, correspondence, notes, plans, valuation schedules, sale notices and copy agreements. Many of the records reflect the industrial and urban development of South Wales and quite a number of the individual valuations are of land subject to compulsory purchase by railway companies and public utilities.
