Papers, [1822]-1953, of John Rhŷs, comprising a considerable group of letters to him, 1860-1915, including those from fellow researchers, friends and family; material, 1864-1919, relating to his published works, including manuscript drafts of books, articles, and addresses; and research notes, 1836-[1920x1945]. There are also personal and professional papers, [1822]-1953, belonging to, and accumulated by, John Rhŷs; and papers, 1862-[1947], relating to various family members, among them a substantial body of material accumulated by Myvanwy Rhys for a proposed biography of her father.

The papers of Sir John Morris-Jones consist mostly of correspondence. There are over 600 letters addressed to John Morris-Jones from men of letters and Celtic scholars from Wales and further afield including Dr Gwenogfryn Evans, Sir John Rhys and Sir Owen Edwards (Reference numbers 3245-3250, 32496). The archive consists almost entirely of Sir John Malcolm's transcript of some of Clive's papers held now at the National Library of Wales, [c. 1824]-[c. 1828], compiled for his biography of Clive, together with drafts of the biography, and an index and abstracts of some of Clive's correspondence. The fonds does not include any of Malcolm's personal and public papers, apart from a single file relating to his governorship of Bombay.

Scrapbooks of press cuttings and correspondence relating to Sir John Lynn-Thomas's career, together with notes and annotated copies of his book Key of all Wales in South-West Cardiganshire (1932).

Personal and professional papers of Sir Guildhaume Myrddin-Evans, a senior civil servant, industrial relations expect and British representative to the International Labour Organisation. The papers comprise material relating to Guildhaume Myrddin-Evans' professional interests including correspondence with officers and representatives of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and ILO member states, politicians and civil servants within the UK Government relating to industrial relations, correspondence and papers relating to his chairmanship of the Local Government Commission for Wales along with his personal correspondence and ephemera, and notes on research undertaken by members of his family into his life and career.
