The bond of Margaret Jones of Carmarthen, widow, in £600 to Henry Williams of Gwernyfed, co. Brec., esq., Thomas Williams of Middle Temple, London, esq., and Thomas Williams of Bradstreete, London, merchant, reciting that the parties are jointly and severally bound in £400 to Ellis Locker, gent., for the repayment on 12 Jan. next of £206, the proper debt of Margaret, 9 July 1655 (J 2); the bond of Sir Henry Williams of Gwernyfed in £500 to Richard Wigmore of Upton Court, esq., to pay £206 to Francis Trion of London, merchant, 12 May 1659 (J 3); the recognisance of Elizabeth Williams in £1000 to Anne Williams her daughter, a minor, for the payment of the sum of £500 when she comes of age or be married, and in the meantime to allow Anne the interest for her maintenance, according to a decree in Chancery dated 2 July 1669, 24 Oct. 1670 (J 4); a grant by John Essington of Slimbridge, co. Glos, gent., to his wife of £50 a year until her daughter reach 16 years of age, 25 Nov. 1672, reciting that David Williams of Corenden, esq., William Selwyn of the city of Gloucester, esq., John Gyse of Ableades Court, esq., and Edward Selwyn of Mattsdowne, gent., all co. Glos., are trustees of the principal and interest of £2000 declared in an agreement made between Elizabeth, now wife of the said John Essingham, then Elizabeth Williams of the city of Gloucester, widow of Thomas Williams, esq., dec., and the said John Essington, 13 March 1670/1 (J 16); and the pedigree of David Williams of Shrewsbury, MD, 'now living' aged 30, the third but eldest surviving son of David Williams of Cornedon, co. Glos., aged 70, the grandson of Sir David Williams of Guernyfed, co. Brec. (d. 1612), signed 'Da Williams', 1683 (torn along the seams, held together by tape) (P 14); and a later copy of the same pedigree brought down to 1730, with a few annotations to 1744 and an endorsement down to E. Penfold, Loose Court, co. Kent, 1821.
