A deed, 2 Jan. 1284/5, whereby in recompense for lands which Ranulph de Parva Overa had in Little Overe in the forest of La Mare which he surrendered to the King, he granted part of the demesne lands of the castle of Chester in Marleston and Lache, and of common pasture over the whole moor and marsh of Salteney, rendering at the Exchequer of Chester at Midsummer 1d.
