Scope and content

Much of the correspondence relates to the production of Eliot Crawshay-Williams' plays and the sale of a number of plays to the USA. Some letters concern the publication of the novel Night in the Hotel (1931), and the sale of the film rights of the novel and of 'A child in their midst' to Paramount Pictures. There are a number of references to the poor sales of the volume of poetry Clouds and the Sun, and suggestions that some of the poems should be re-published separately to stimulate sales. 187 Items.
