A holograph letter from [Walter Davies, 'Gwallter Mechain'] to [ ], undated (the alliance of the Lloyds of Hendre'r Mur to the Anwyls) (mutilated); a holograph letter from T. Price to Mr. Pryse, undated (the political systems of Europe); an obituary notice of Evan Lloyd, vicar of Llanfair [Dyffryn Clwyd], 1776, directed to the printer of the London Evening Post; an incomplete and mutilated text of Evan Lloyd: The Methodist (London, 1766); three poems, in the same hand, entitled 'An Apology for Capn. S . . .y' (1780), 'A Riddle for Mrs. Grose', and 'A New Song'; etc.

A volume of holograph essays by John Minton, Treorchy, on 'Llwch', 'Glaw', and 'Hwyl'.

Two volumes of holograph poems in free metres and a few 'englynion' ('Syml Gynhyrchion') composed by John Minton, J.P., Treorchy, co. Glamorgan. Each volume contains a list of contents, Welsh syntactical rules ('Cyfarwyddiadau ieithyddol'), and addresses of editors of Welsh newspapers.

A volume originally used as a register of the Baptist church of Ffynnonhenri, parish of Cynwyl Elfed, co. Carmarthen. It contains records of baptisms, excommunications, restorations, and deaths, 1808-1842, and of births and registrations, 1790-1838; accounts, being largely particulars of collections towards meeting the debts on Baptist meetinghouses, 1810-1817 and undated; and a memorandum of the rebuilding of the third meeting-house at Ffynnonhenri in 1823. From 1815 onwards the volume is in the hand of David Evans, minister of the church, who has added copious notes of sermons (of which one is dated New Year's Day 1853) and a few personal accounts and memoranda. The first leaf of baptisms, containing thirty-two entries, is wanting. The paper is watermarked 1807. There is a list of contents ('Cynnwysiad'). The upper cover is lettered 'Coflyfr eglwysig a nodiadau yn llawysgrifen y Parch. D. Evans, Ffynnonhenri'.

Prison, Cardiff, from John Thomas Lloyd, Wybunbury, near Nantwich, 1880 (personal, the writer's indebtedness to the recipient), George Rowlands (letter-head of W. Thomas & Co., millers, Port Adelaide), 1881 (personal, thanks to the authorities at Cardiff), [ ] Cardiff, 1880 (personal, the writer's reformed life) (incomplete), Prison Commission, Home Office, 1898-1903 (2) (an offer of the chaplaincy of Wakefield Prison, the notice of recipient's retirement from the Prison Service), and the Visiting Committee, H. M. Prison, Cardiff, 1904 (a resolution by the writers on the occasion of the recipient's retirement).

Three holograph letters of F. (Fanny) Humphreys (aft. Davies) [i.e., Frances, wife of Robert Joseph Davies, Cwrt-mawr, Llangeitho, co. Cardigan] from London, Edinburgh, and Cwrtmawr, to Mrs. Lewis [? her aunt Mary Lewis, Carmarthen], [18]61-1871 (personal, news of relatives and friends, the writer's wedding and honeymoon, the purchase of crockery, etc.); a list of persons present at the wedding of Frances Humphreys and R. J. Davies, 1863; a copy of a prescription issued to Frances Davies by Dr. Simpson, Edinburgh, 1863; and a card announcing the birth, 15 April 1871, to Mrs. R. J. Davies of a son [John Humphreys Davies, Principal of University College of Wales, Aberystwyth].

Seven holograph letters to John Jones, Gellifaharen, from Thos. Davies, Jes[us] Coll[ege, Oxford], 1817 and undated (4) (the tithes of Llandysil), Titus Evans, Alltyrodin Lodge, 1840 (a parish meeting) (autograph), and Saml. Griffiths, Troed[rhiw]ffenyd [Llandysul], 1841 and undated (2) ( appointments); and miscellaneous documents including an agreement to submit to arbitration a dispute concerning a lease of houses at Pencarnuket [Llandysul], 1819, and an attested extract, 1845, from the parish register of Llanfihangelar-arth recording the marriage of David Jones of the parish of Llangeler and Mary Lloyd, spinster, of the parish of Llanfihangel-ar-arth, 1823.

A collection of some forty-five unbound home-made notebooks and fragments of such notebooks containing sermons and expository notes largely in the hand of John Piers (Pierce), vicar choral of Caerwys in the diocese of St. Asaph, sinecure rector of Caerwys, and rector of Llandderfel. Two of the sermons, in English, were preached at Caerwys respectively on New Year's Day, 1641/2, and the first Sunday after Trinity, 1643, and another, in Welsh, at Llandderfel on 14 February, 1663/4. The collection also contains, in other hands, a transcript of, or selections from, the Catechism and Confession of Faith by Rob[ert] Barclay, 'a Quaker of Scotland', which was first published in 1673; a notebook of sermons by 'Mr. Turner', [16]93; and a transcript of a carol by Hugh Moris, 1707, entitled 'Ymddiddan rhwng y gwir Brotestant ar Eglwys'.

A history of Maescanner Baptist Church, Dafen, Llanelly, written [c. 1953] by Joseph Bowen, Dafen. The history covers the period from the foundation of the cause in 1864 to the retirement of the Reverend T. R. Williams in 1953.

Holograph letters from Lewis Edwards, Bala, to his son Llewelyn, 1864-1882 (5) (the recipient's health and his studies, the birth of the recipient's son and heir, the proposed opening of the Bala-Festiniog railway, personal); from Lewis Edwards, from Hyde Park, London, to his wife Jane, 1874 (personal); from T[homas] C[harles] Edwards, from Stratford-on-Avon and from Leamington, to his brother Llewelyn, 1867 (the writer's marriage and return to Liverpool); and from Thomas Charles [Edwards] to his mother, undated (the writer's proposed marriage, personal). Also included in the volume is a prayer, in Welsh, by T. C. Edwards, 1859.

Cyfarwyddiad i Fesurwyr . . . (Gwrecsam, 1772), with additional leaves, used as an account and memorandum book of Humphrey Evan of Rhowniar, parish of Tywyn, co. Merioneth. The manuscript entries cover the period 1770-1791 and relate in the main to the purchase of shares in ships.

A volume entitled 'Odlau'r Aelwyd' by Thomas Jacob Thomas ('Sarnicol'), being a selection of holograph poetry in strict and free metres. The selection was made in 1944, with a view to publication.

A draft essay entitled 'Observations on Parturition amongst the Poor In the Upper District of Cardiganshire' by [Dr. Richard Williams, Aberystwyth]. The paper is watermarked 1837.

A bound volume containing printed Acts of Parliament, 1736-1868, largely relating to the conveyance of lands for charitable uses; a printed circular letter, 1861, from the Wesleyan Chapel Committee to the Superintendents of Circuits, calling attention to the provisions of 'An Act to amend the Law relating to the Conveyance of Land for Charitable Uses', 17 May 1861; and a manuscript alphabetical list, compiled circa or after 1871, of trust deeds of Calvinistic Methodist churches, Sunday schools, day schools, dwelling and chapel houses, cemeteries and land in co. Cardigan.

A holograph essay on 'Cynydd a gwelliant Llanbedr [Pont Steffan] yn ystod y 15 mlynedd diweddaf (1863-1878)' [the development and improvement of Lampeter, co. Cardigan, during the period 1863-1878] by 'Ap Tulas' [Dan Jenkins, Pentrefelin, Nantcwnlle, co. Cardigan]. The essay was awarded the first prize in an unspecified competition.

A printed copy of an anonymous work, entitled The Kitchen, Fruit and Flower Gardens Complete in Four Parts ... (Dublin: printed by George Faulkner, 1751) [ESTC N54118]. Extensive manuscript notes in the form of original observations and quotations, have been added, 1751-1756, by William Morris of Holyhead (inside front and rear covers, fly-leaf, pp. i-xvi, 149-156, and a few annotations in the margins of the printed book), together with an index (pp. 137-149).

Cardigan, 1821?, containing hymn-tunes and psalm-tunes by John [David] Edwards ('Aelod o Goleg Iesu Rhydychen') [aft. of Rhosymedre], Thomas Jenkins, Dd.
