A two-volume collection of pedigrees, mainly of South Wales families, compiled during the 1830s (23967iE watermark 1828; 23967iiE watermark 1831), with some later additions, by David Jones Lewis, Gilfach, Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire.
A duplicate set of these volumes, also written by David Jones Lewis, are the 8 volumes of Gilfach MSS in the College of Arms, London (see Francis Jones, A Catalogue of Welsh Manuscripts in the College of Arms (London, 1988), pp. 69-71), which are dated by colophon to 1830. This duplication is mentioned in a note, dated 8 July 1895, in 23967iE, p. 1, by Lewis's grandson, David Jones Lewis of Llwyncelyn, Llanwrda, who has also overwritten parts of the earlier text, as well as adding pedigrees relating to the Lewis family, [1895] (pp. 1438-50), and a copy of 'an account of the Lewis family in the handwriting of my late grandfather', 1896 (pp. 1494-6). There are minor additions relating to the Lewis family, to at least 1978, in several different hands (pp. 1438-41, 1448-50). A copy of an unpublished account, [1990s], of the Lewis family of Gilfach and Llwyncelyn, including references to the Pedigree Books, is now NLW ex 2511. An index to these two volumes is now NLW MS 23968i-iiE.

The fonds comprises the literary and personal papers of Gillian Clarke, 1907-1999, including correspondence, and drafts of published and unpublished poems and prose works by her. Also included are papers relating to poetry workshops and readings, The Anglo-Welsh Review, Tŷ Newydd and the Frances Horovitz Memorial Trust, together with a small group of personal papers.

A letter, 1889, to William Ewart Gladstone from the Wadebridge Liberal Association relating to the incident when a loaded cartridge was thrown into his carriage as he was passing through Wadebridge, Cornwall, in June 1889, with copy correspondence between the Association and the chief constable of Cornwall enclosed (ff. 3, 4 recto-verso); together with notes, 1930, by Henry Neville Gladstone relating to the affair, and the actual cartridge thrown.

Deeds and documents, 1727-1945, of clients of Bythway and Son, relating mainly to properties in the counties of Monmouthshire, 1727-1940, and Glamorgan, 1823-1937; material relating to properties in Merionethshire, 1876, and Cardiganshire, 1847-1876; deeds relating to properties in Cumberland, 1850, Gloucestershire, 1840, and Lancashire, 1880-1945; and miscellaneous papers, 1831-1918.

A volume containing miscellaneous documents relating to Glamorgan, including a letter, 1780, from the bailiffs of Cardiff to the portreeve and burgesses of Loughor concerning a parliamentary election (f. ii); transcripts or abstracts of title deeds of lands in the parishes of Gelli-gaer and Llanfabon, 1783-1785 (ff. 1-7), Eglwysilan, 1813 (ff. 8-16), Geli-gaer, 1795-1806 (ff. 17-29), a lease of Pennsylvania meeting-house, Merthyr Tydfil for use by Methodists, 1796-1797 (ff. 32-36), Llysfaen, Llanedern, Michaelston-y-Vedw and Roath, [c. 1784] (ff. 37-39), Tirygwernllwyn, Merthyr Tydfil, 1823 (ff. 42-44), and lands in the manor of Llandaf and parishes of Llandaf, Whitchurch and Canton, [c. 1810], held by Francis James Matthew, earl of Llandaf, including recitals of deeds dated 1553-1740 (ff. 46-49); an extract from the Glamorgan Quarter Sessions relating to an action brought by the Rev.
