An account written in 1964 by Charles Heber Humphreys of the ironmonger's, chemist's and grocer's shop of C. Humphreys & Son, Llanfair Caereinion, co. Montgomery, founded by his grandfather, Cadwaladr Humphreys (1804-1841), in 1829 and sold in 1933.

Papers, 1942-1950, collated and written by C. R. Irving (d. 1969), Llanfairfechan, including reports on the 'Effects of winds & tides on the sea defences of North Wales', 1947-1948 and 'Tides, waves and defence works on the North Wales Coast', 1946-1947; notes on the Chester and Holyhead Railway; notes and lectures on the Britannia Tubular Bridge, and the Menai Suspension Bridge, together with related correspondence.
