A tune book, [c. 1835], containing unattributed hymn-tunes and anthems. The register of a singing school held at Brynhenllan, north Pembrokeshire, 1835 (ff. 48-50), and notes on the rudiments of music (ff. 1-2), are also included in the volume.

A volume of music for the harp, [c. 1764], including compositions by, and variations on the work of, Handel and John Parry Ddall of Rhiwabon. The manuscript is in two hands: possibly that of Robert Edwards, a pupil of John Parry (ff. 1-14, 24 verso-26, 36 verso-40), and possibly that of Thomas Roberts (ff. 14 verso-24, 26 verso-36, 40 verso-42a).

Notes on Welsh biography, history and topography in the hands of the Reverend Peter Roberts (1760-1819), rector of Halkyn, co. Flint, and Angharad Llwyd (1779-1866), written in the margins and on the interleaves of a copy of William Owen [-Pughe], The Cambrian biography ... (London, 1803).

Journal, 1817-1819, of Edward Loveden Loveden of Buscot Park, Faringdon, Berkshire, containing personal memoranda, accounts, and records of weather. Papers and correspondence, [c. 1815]-1819, relating mainly to the Buscot Park estate, found loose in the volume, have been filed separately (MS 22949iiE); these include two letters, 1816-1817, from Sir John Sinclair (ff. 13, 40). Pocket diary of Anne Griffiths (1876-1949), Troed-y-rhiw, previously of Blaencerdin-fach, Ffostrasol, co. Cardigan, using Dyddiadur yr Annibynwyr for 1930. The brief daily entries in Welsh relate to personal, domestic and agricultural matters, local events, and services at Horeb and Bwlch-y-groes Congregational chapels and Capel Cynon church.

Pocket diaries of the Reverend John Jenkins (1779-1853, DWB), Baptist minister at Hengoed, co. Glamorgan, 1809-1853, author, editor and publisher. The diaries run from 1819 to 1853 with gaps for 1820-1821, 1824, 1832, 1834 (covers only remaining) and 1847; many are incomplete, with two leaves only extant for 1819, the period 1 January - 13 February only for 1841 and September - December only for 1826 and 1848. The brief entries, in Welsh, record preaching engagements and sermon texts, and other details in connection with John Jenkins's ministry; there are also references to his writings, notably his Esponiad, to his printing and publishing work, to the sale of his publications, and to his sons Titus Jenkins, Baptist minister, John Jenkins, missionary, and Llewelyn Jenkins, publisher. The diaries for 1829 and 1830 contain references to the building of a new place of worship at Hengoed. Also included are personal accounts and others relating to the publication and sale of books.

Tune book, 1789, of Georgina Craven, containing arrangements of contemporary songs and dance tunes, including (ff. 1-6) three apparently unpublished songs composed, 1786-1789, by her mother, Lady Elizabeth Craven, Margravine of Anspach (1750-1828, DNB) (see Brio, 29 (1992), pp. 95-6).

A diary by Emrys Hunter Evans (1880-1970), son of John Gwenogvryn Evans, of holidays, mostly spent with his parents in Old Colwyn, co. Denbigh, during the summer of 1893; the diary also contains references to J. Gwenogvryn Evans visiting Lord Mostyn (ff. 20, 24).

A volume containing notes, 1902, on the landscape and history of Wales, probably in the hand of James Matthew Thompson (1878-1956), fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, extracted from various printed sources, notably Thomas Pennant's Tours in Wales, and John Leland's Itinerary, with index (pp. 273-5).

Letters, papers, press cuttings, photographs and other illustrations, etc., [c. 1853]-[c. 1869], dealing mainly with the statue by John Gibson, R.A. (1790-1866) called 'The Tinted Venus' and probably collected by Mrs Robert Berthon Preston of Liverpool. There are numerous letters from Gibson to Mr & Mrs Preston, the other correspondents including Mr Preston, Owen Jones (1809-1874), Benjamin E. Spence (1822-1866), Lady Eastlake (1809-1893) and persons connected with the International Exhibition of 1862 held in London, where 'The Tinted Venus' was exhibited.

A book of maps of the estates of Thomas Edwards in Llandaff, Whitchurch, St Brides, Coyty, Caerau, Eglwysilan, Llantwit Fardre, Llantrisant, Llanblethian, Llanedern, Lisvane, Llanfabon, Michaelstone super Ely, Michaelston-y-Vedw, St George's and St Nicholas, and Merthyr Tydfil in Glamorgan, Bedwas, Machen, Mynyddislwyn, St Melons, Peterstone, Rumney and Rockfield in Monmouthshire, and Rowlstone in Herefordshire, surveyed and mapped by E. Thomas, 1776.
