This collection contains works in prose and verse by William Rees, D.D. (Gwilym Hiraethog) (1802-1883), Congregational minister, poet and lecturer. They include poetry and draft poetry, draft and original manuscripts of prose works, adjudications, a draft translation of the psalms, lectures, draft correspondence, a draft biography, sermons and drafts of sermons, etc.; also included is the autograph album of Elizabeth Peter, wife of John Peter (Ioan Pedr) (1833-1877).

Derrick Webley Research Papers
The fonds consists of the research papers of Derrick Pritchard Webley, mainly relating to his work on the artist Penry Williams. The papers include correspondence, notes and typescript transcripts of letters relating to Williams, his works, his contemporaries and his cultural background, together with catalogues of works by Williams and other artists, and typescript drafts of chapters of Webley's posthumous work Cast to the winds: the life and work of Penry Williams (1802-1885) (Aberystwyth: National Library of Wales, 1997). Also included are papers relating to Derrick Webley's archaeological interests, in particular the palaeolithic geography of the Epirus region of Greece.

The O'Grady Manuscripts belonged to Standish Hayes O'Grady (1832-1915), and for the most part contain transcripts or notes by O'Grady made from Irish manuscripts in London, Dublin, and elsewhere.

Welsh Amateur Music Federation Records
The fonds comprises material dating between 1963 and 2001, consisting mainly of correspondence, [c.1970]-2001, between the Federation and various musical societies on matters of financial aid and membership fees, providing a valuable overview of a wide range of musical activities throughout Wales. It also contains correspondence with other arts organisations and bodies, both national and regional, copies of rules, constitutions and accounts of the various constituent societies as well as programmes, leaflets, posters and other printed ephemera, covering the period from 1963 to 2001. Several files contain papers relating specifically to the Federation's internal committees. Only one file relates to the Federation's own administration.

Diaries, 1817-1852, of Lewis Weston Dillwyn of Penlle'rgaer, Glamorgan, containing entries relating to family and estate matters, his business interests, his work as a naturalist, together with his public duties as a magistrate and as a Member of Parliament. Also included is the journal of his tour on the Continent in 1836. Most of the volumes are partially indexed by him, and many contain appendices, some relating to events before 1817 (see file level descriptions for further details).
