Apthorp pedigree roll

A copy made in 1841 by Sarah Paley, nee Apthorp, from 'a very old roll ... in the possession of Mrs Elizabeth Apthorp of Cambridge' of the pedigree of the Apthorp family 'From Mr Barton's Rowle Herald that took it in the Visitation made in Wales 1554'. Begins with Rees ap Meredith, beheaded in 1289. Thirty-six painted coats of arms. Additions from 'Thomas Apthorp's roll 1797' and added notes on Apthorp genealogy in XVIII cent. with reference to East Apthorp, died 1813, the first of the family to settle in America.
