Papers, 1839-1931, relating to the Naylor family and the Leighton Hall and Brynllywarch estates, comprising accounts, rent schedules, valuations and sale catalogues, together with correspondence and other material relating to the family, and in particular to their activities as high sheriffs for Montgomeryshire.

Additional papers were received in July 2021, this material mainly comprising correspondence and newspaper cuttings, which trace the history of and events within the Naylor family and the Leighton Hall estate from the mid-nineteenth century to the near present day. The material includes a memorandum book, 1848-1856, belonging to John Naylor (1813-1889) of Leighton Hall.

The material includes arithmetic notebooks, music book, account books, diaries and general notebook of Daniel Evans and account books and general notebook of Evan Evans.

Devotional works, 1814-1850, of Pembrokeshire provenance comprising a volume of sermon notes, 1848-1850, of the Rev. David Bateman; and copies of Griffith Jones, Llanddowror, Esponiad Byr ar Gatecism yr Eglwys (4th ed., London, 1778) and Telyn y Cristion (Carmarthen, [1830]), both annotated by their owners with verses, memoranda, etc.

Papers of Lily F. Chitty, Pontesbury, Shropshire, relating mainly to her work in indexing Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1846-1900. Included are a typescript copy, in two volumes, of the index compiled; 4 notebooks, 2 log books, and a petty cash book, 1932-1950, relating to the compilation of the work; a box file containing notes and correspondence and a file of correspondence, 1931-1964, relating to the Index Committee which had been set up, the correspondents including Sir John Edward Lloyd, Sir Cyril Fox, H. J. Randall, T. Jones Pierce, T. E. Morris, J. D. K. Lloyd, V. E. Nash-Williams, and Willoughby Gardner. Also included are notebooks relating to Cambrian Archaeological Association meetings, 1952-1955, 1962-1967; personal correspondence and photographs, 1951-1977; and various offprints, etc.

Additional papers consisting of First World War Honourable Discharge Certificates (right half only) found amongst the estate of Lily Frances Chitty, sister-in-law of Mary Derwas Chitty (née Kitson Clark), and transferred to the donor by the latter's daughter, Anna Georgina Chitty. Also included is research, compiled by Barbara Reardon, on the individuals named in the certificates; July 2023.

Papers created and compiled by Peter Reynolds in his work as a composer of musical works, a writer and critic, and his lecture notes. Musical compositions include full orchestral scores, parts works, arrangements, draft works and sketches. Research papers and notes covering musical compositions, composers and artists, accumulated during his research for the writing of programme notes and his copywriting. Some of these files contain historical items collected for reference. Subject files and a large collection of concert and event literature. Teaching notes for lectures at WCMD and his composers workshops.
Two boxes of audio material have been transferred to The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales.

Records accumulated by John Clement as a civil servant, 1942-1958, including records of the Welsh Reconstruction Advisory Council, 1942-1945; records relating to education and hill sheep farming, 1942-1943; papers relating to the Welsh woollen industry, 1954-1958; and records relating to the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire, 1954-1958.

This collection comprises notebooks containing poetry, sermons, etc., by Robert Thomas (Ap Vychan) (1809-1880), Congregational minister, poet, etc.

Family and estate records of Griffith of Porthamal, Anglesey, and Llanfair, Caernarfonshire, Griffith of Brynodol, Caernarfonshire, and the associated families of Rowlands of Nant, Caernarfonshire, and Wynn of Taltreuddyn, Merionethshire. The estate records include rentals of the Llanfair estate, 1516-1669, the Brynodol estate, 1581-1751, the Cefnamwlch estate, 1630-1717, the Nant estate, 1702-1719, the Taltreuddyn estate, 1744-1848, the Llanfair and Brynodol estate, 1761-1832, and rentals from various other estates, 1615-1816; and deeds of the Porthamal and Llanfair estate, 1435-1673, the Brynodol (and later Llanfair and Brynodol) estate, 1564-1864, and the Taltreuddyn estate, 1664-1751. -- The archive also includes rentals of Crown rents in Anglesey, Caernarfonshire, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Merionethshire, 1558-1798, and ministers' accounts, 1365-1825; Caernarfon borough records, 1545-1783, including rentals of corporation property, lists of burgesses, and notes on the constitution of the borough and the appointment of officers; and a number of literary and historical manuscripts.

Estate and family records, 1183-1957, of the Wynn and Williams Wynn family of Wynnstay, Denbighshire.
