A holograph copy, [1936], of a poem entitled 'Yn Eden Ardd' by Robert Arthur Griffith (Elphin). The poem was originally composed in 1897.

A pocket book belonging to William Thomas, Ty'ngadfan, Llanwnda (d. 1892), containing an incomplete metrical dialogue on temperance by Owen Griffith Owen, Bryncrin; 'Cwynfan gwraig meddwyn' (unsigned); an incomplete carol by Robert Jones, Bryn-y-gro; 'Cân ar ddull o ymdiddan rhwng Dyn a Llyffaint'; names of subscribers to Athraw Cerddorol and towards a Welsh oratorio; notes of sermons preached at associations held at Llangefni, Caernarvon, and Pwllheli, 1857-60; and a table of a Dinorwic quarryman's earnings, 1851-60.

An essay (27 pp.) on 'Cariad neu dosturi at bawb dynion, fel rhan hanfodol o wir grefydd' by 'Crefyddwr tosturiol', which was submitted for competition at Cwmorthin Slate Quarry, Blaenau Ffestiniog, 1876; and verses to [the Reverend] William Ellis, Brontyrnor, Maentwrog, by Hywell Hughes, 1874.

Three notebooks in the hand of Hugh Jones ('Erfyl') - (a) an account book containing board and lodging expenses, 1828-33, 1843-4, an account with the Reverend R. M. Bonnor, 1831-2, washing account, 1844, account of lessons given to 'Master Wm. Lowe', 1829-30, 1832, and 'Master Temple', undated, and a list of 'situations' held by 'Erfyl' during the period 1810-30; (b) a 'cywydd' in memory of Owen Jones ('Owain Myfyr')' and (c) transcripts of 'carolau', or parts of 'carolau', by Hugh Jones, Maesglasau ('H. J. Senr.'), Hugh Jones, Llangwm, Ellis Roberts ('y cowper'), William Edwards, Ysceifiog, Thomas Edwards ('Twm o'r Nant'), and others. Used as cover and end papers for the latter are two copies of a printed notice of a meeting of the Llanfyllin New Friendly Society, 1816.

A volume entitled 'Y Gôg Lawen. Neu Lyfr Carolau a Cherddi Cywyddau ac Awdlau. Duwiol a Diddanol', being an incomplete collection, in two parts, compiled in 1802, of holograph poetry in free and strict metres by Dafydd Jones otherwise Dafydd John James ('Dafydd Siôn Siams' or 'Dafydd ab Ioan') of Penrhyndeudraeth.

Miscellanea from the collection of J. Lloyd James ('Clwydwenfro'), including a biography by him, c. 1895, of John Griffiths, Ynys-fawr, Llandissilio East, Carmarthenshire; a transcript, 1887, by Jonathan N. Davies ('Carnalaw'), for 'Clwydwenfro', of an 'awdl' on 'Cymmedroldeb' by 'Ioan Glan Taf' which was awarded the prize at an eisteddfod at Crymych, Pembrokeshire, 1881; and an incomplete transcript of a Welsh ballad.

A scrapbook, compiled by J. W. Jones, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and unbound leaves containing holographs, transcripts, and press cuttings of poetry in free and strict metres, 1893-1903 and 1918?, by William (Gwilym) Morgan, quarryman, of Blaenau Ffestiniog, together with adjudications by [Sir] J[ohn] Morris Jones (press cuttings), [Howell Elvet Lewis] ('Elfed') (transcript), etc. MS. 11064 also contains testimonials, 1901, to William Morgan and Mrs Morgan from Robert Roberts, J. P., surgeon, Blaenau Ffestiniog, the Reverend W[illiam] P[ari] Hughes, Dolgellau, and Wm. Davies, Junior, Managing Partner, The Diphwys Casson Slate Quarries Company, Blaenau Ffestiniog, the first (and presumably the other two) in support of their candidature for the posts of master and matron of Pwllheli Workhouse; and a holograph letter, 1936, from [Humphrey Jones] ('Bryfdir'), Rhiwbryfdir, to [J. W. Jones], enclosing copies of 'in memoriam' verses to Gwilym Morgan. Included in MS. 11065 is a holograph letter, 1899, from Robert Roberts, Blaenau Ffestiniog, to Gwilym Morgan, with observations on 'englynion' in English by the recipient.

A bound volume labelled 'Eisteddfod Proceddings', compiled by William Jenkins Rees (1772-1855), rector of Cascob, Radnorshire, and consisting largely of printed notices addressed to him by Cambrian Societies in Wales and in London. The contents include a notice of an eisteddfod under the auspices of the Gwyneddigion Society at Caerwys, 1798, together with Gosodaethau a Rheolau Cymdeithas y Gwyneddigion and other material relating to the Society; a draft consitution of the Cambrian Society in the hand of W. J. Rees [1818]; resolutions and accounts of the Cambrian Society in Dyfed, 1818-20 and undated; programmes of concerts at the Town Hall, Carmarthen, by the Royal Bath Harmonic Society, 1819-20; a programme of an eisteddfod to be held at Carmarthen in 1823, together with manuscript addresses delivered by Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc') and [Daniel Evans ('Daniel Ddu o Geredigion'); resolutions of the Cambrian Society in Gwent, 1821-2; material relating to eisteddfodau and concerts held at Brecon, 1822 and 1826; resolutions of the Cymmrodorion Society in Powys, 1819-24; announcements of eisteddfodau to be held at Wrexham, 1820, and Welshpool, 1824; a holograph letter from Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain') to W. Thirteen exercise books, those numbered I-XII containing miscellaneous poetic and prose compositions (many in draft form), by, and in the hand of, Isaac Jones, Diserth, co. Flint [father of Thomas Gwynn Jones, professor of Welsh literature, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth]. The items include 'pryddestau' entitled 'Abel' (a draft and a more finished version, composed for competition at an eisteddfod at Blaenau Ffestiniog, 1891), 'Cartref', 'Y Nefoedd', and 'Naaman y Syriad' (draft) (composed for competition at eisteddfodau or literary festivals at Abergele, 1885, 1889, and 1890, respectively), and 'Y Croeshoeliad'; a draft of a romance in serial form called 'Teulu'r Groesffordd' (seven chapters completed, chapter 8 incomplete); a short story called 'Hywel Tudur yr Hendre'; a draft of the beginning of a novel to be called 'Teulu'r Hafod'; draft or final versions of short dissertations or essays on such topics as 'Geirwiredd' (for competition at an eisteddfod at Llanrwst, 1891), 'Cadwraeth y Sabbath yn ei berthynas a llwyddiant tymhorol' (incomplete), 'Y Ddeddf air Efengyl', 'Y Tair Gardd' (1922), 'Peryglon y Swydd i Ysbryd y Blaenor' (headed by a pencilled note, in another hand, reading 'Papyr a ddarllenwyd yn Nghymdeithasfa Caerlleon, gan Isaac Jones, Dyserth'), and 'Gwyrthiau'; an incomplete copy of a letter referring to tithe legislation, addressed to the editor of Y Faner; and other incomplete fragments. The note-book numbered XIII contains a copy of the poem by T. Gwynn Jones entitled 'Dyddiau y Parch. Richard Owen' [see Dyddiau y Parch. Richard Owen, gyda Chynyrchion Buddugol Ereill, gan Gwynvre ap Iwan a Gwilym Meredydd (Wyddgrug, 1891)]. This is probably the actual holograph copy of the poem, which, under the pseudonym 'Deigryn Hiraeth', T. Gwynn Jones submitted for competition at a literary festival held at Abergele, Christmas 1888. Included with the note-books are a holograph note from Mrs. S[arah] E[lin] Jones, sister of T. Gwynn Jones, undated, a holograph letter from Owen Jones, husband of the said Mrs. S. E. Jones, Diserth, [19]53, and a letter from the said Owen and S. E. Jones, Dyserth, [19]53, [all three to D. Gwenallt Jones, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth], and all relating to the note-books, which were being forwarded to the recipient. Included also are typescript notes compiled by, and bearing the initials of, A[rthur] ap G[wynn] [son of T. Gwynn Jones], listing, and commenting on, the contents of each individual note-book.

A commonplace book, 1840-1846, of David Roberts ('Dewi Siabot', [? 1821- ]) containing poetry, sermons and essays composed or copied by him during his period as a schoolmaster at Capel Curig and Waunfawr, Caernarfonshire.

Some fifty letters, 1837-1841, to Henry Evans ('Harri Ddu o Ddyfed'), secretary of the Cambrian Society, Cardiff, on subjects of Welsh antiquarian and Cymreigyddion interest; together with notes gathered by Evans and verses by or concerning him. The correspondents include Edward Copleston, bishop of Llandaf (2) 1838, Thomas Phillipps, Middle Hill (7) 1837-39, Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc') (3) 1837, Rice Rees, Llandovery (6) 1837-9, and William Williams, Aberpergwm (3) 1837-39.

'Galarnad ar farwolaeth W. O. Pughe, Yswn., D.C.L., F.A.S.', being an elegy (206 lines) on the death of W[illiam] O[wen] Pughe [lexicographer, antiquary, and poet] by 'Ywain Cyfeiliog'. The present copy was folded and sent by post to R. Saunderson, junior, Bala, with the ? author's proper name 'Griffith W. Edwards, G. ab Gwilym Padarn, Llanrug near Carnarv[on]' inscribed under seal in the bottom right-hand corner of p. 4. This suggests that the poem was forwarded to be submitted for competition at an eisteddfod, and the note 'Barnwyd y Farwnad hon yn fuddugol yn Eisteddfod y Bala, 1836. . .' inserted subsequently between the title and text appears to confirm the suggestion.

A letter, 1896, from David Watkin Jones ('Dafydd Morganwg') to John Daniel Evans with transcripts of unpublished poems by Thomas Evans ('Telynog'); a postcard, 1902, from William Jones, M.P., to J. D. Evans at Goginan, Cardiganshire; an unsigned letter, 1900, containing a brief history of the Baptists in Goginan and district; and a hymn-tune entitled 'Goginan' by William Aubrey Williams ('Gwilym Gwent'), 1869.

Copies of 'Marwnad Mochyn Brith, yr hwn a fwrddiwyd ar fynydd Llanbedr ar foreu dydd Llun cyntaf o'r flwyddyn 1870, gerllaw y Cross Hands Hotel', 'Caniad y Gog i feirionydd' by 'L[ewis] Morris, Ysw' ('Llywelyn Ddu o Fôn'), and 'Can Alarys A Gyfansoddwyd Dros fachgenun ieuanc Er Ei ddanfon iw hen Gariad'.

A volume containing holograph poetry, largely in free metre, written during the period 1876-1928 by Richard ap Hugh, Bala. At the beginning of the volume is an alphabetical index of titles ('Cynnwysiad'). Inset is a holograph poem entitled 'Ymweliad y Bardd' by [John Jones] ('Tegid').

A song entitled 'The Better Land', the music arranged by Mr. J. Whitney, Carmarthen, to words by Mrs. [Felicia Dorothea] Hemans; and a copy of a poem entitled 'Mae nhad wrth y llyw'.
