Advertisement (draft) for disposing of a share in the Clydach Ironworks in order to increase the capital by between £20,000 and £30,000. The works are stated to consist of two blast furnaces, a rolling mill and a forge, all worked by water with abundant supplies of coal, charcoal, ironstone and limestone of the best qualities, 100 dwelling houses contiguously situated and held under different tenures, the lowest having 67 years to run; the output is stated to be 100 tons of pigs at the two furnaces, the whole being worked into bar-iron, tinplate, plough shares, axle-arms, etc., at the mill and forge.
