The Dutch Water Line was a series of water based defences and in 2000 a project was established which brought together visual artists, architects and landscape designers to consider proposals for the development of the Water Line. Clifford McLucas was invited to put forward ideas and proposed three different projects: A Meditation: Luchtkoker/Lichtkoker, A Revelation: The Angels of the Waterlinie, and A Documentation: From South to North - A Deep Map of the Hollandse Waterlinie.
